iStockphoto’s sister company Getty Images Consumer is looking for a highly motivated individual with expertise in software development and managing software projects to work as a Web Applications Developer. The successful applicant will join a diverse team of talented individuals in developing Rich Internet Applications for high-profile partners and services. We're looking for developers who want to get their hands dirty with all aspects of development from concept to release. Responsible, communicative developers will thrive in our agile environment.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience
• Thorough understanding of object-oriented software design principles
• Experience in the study of common design patterns, with the ability to identify opportunities to employ them
• Experience managing software complexity through re-factoring
• Experience with Subversion or equally functional versioning tool
• Ability to reliably plan, describe and implement a solution to software problems
• Flexibility in the adoption of standard tools

• Experience authoring Rich Internet Applications (RIA) or web applications
• Strong PHP skills, particularly with the Zend Framework
• Strong Database skills, particularly in schema development and query optimization. We develop using MySQL
• Javascript skills, particularly with the Dojo Framework- ActionScript 3 skills, particularly in Adobe Flex / Air
• UNIX/Linux skills, particular with shell or scripting languages (BASH, Ruby, Perl etc)

• Strong creative problem-solving ability
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment
